ROARME
The messenger for teams · by The Mad Lions
Everything a crew says, sends and shares, in one place. No phone number, files up to 3 GB, tasks and call sheets, secret chats when it matters.
Free · Mac, Windows, browser, phone · updates itself · all downloads
01 · Only here
The reasons a crew moves its chat here, and stays.
Sign up with an email and pick your @name. Nobody finds you by your phone number, because we never ask for it. Share your link or QR code and the chat opens by itself.
Send the presentation, the rushes, the design files: up to 3 GB a file, not squeezed. It stays three days, with a link anyone can download from, even without RoarMe. Then it deletes itself.
Turn on Encrypted Chat with one tap: from then on every message is locked on your device before it leaves, and only the devices in that chat can read it. Not us, not the server.
02 · New
Who does what, the day's call sheet, reminders, mentions that reach people, and an app that keeps itself up to date.
Give a task to anyone in your contacts, or to yourself, with a date, a priority and a checklist. They accept or decline it, and you see their answer and their progress live. It lives beside the chats, never inside them.
The camera button opens Roardino right inside RoarMe, already signed in. Make the day's ordino or pick one, press Send, and the crew gets a card that opens on any phone.
The Mac and Windows apps fetch a new version in the background and tell you when it is ready. Press Restart, and a few seconds later you are on it. No downloading, no dragging.
A new icon in the Dock and on the home screen, the same graphite glass as the app, and a choice of looks, dark or light. Tasks, ordinos and chats share one quiet design.
In a group, @all reaches everyone and @here whoever is online right now. Make roles like @μοντάζ or @camera from the chat menu, and one @ reaches all of them. Whoever is mentioned is told even with the chat muted, and an @ waits in the chat list until they read it.
Any message can come back later: in 20 minutes, in an hour, tomorrow at 09:00. It returns as a card in the app, or as a notification with RoarMe closed. Only you see it, and every reminder waits under Tasks › Reminders.
Hold Send, or open the chat menu, and pick a day and time; Tomorrow 08:00 is one tap for call times. It goes out even with RoarMe closed, and can repeat every day, week or month. Away? Auto-Reply answers one-to-one chats for you.
Under Tasks, a calendar puts your tasks, planned calls and scheduled messages on one month. For THEMADLIONS teams, the Hub's tasks and events show there too, and you can sign in with your THEMADLIONS Hub account.
03 · Everything
The rest of RoarMe, briefly.
Voice and video, straight from device to device. Plan one ahead and it lands as a card with a countdown and Add to calendar.
A group for every project or client, folders that follow you on every device, @mentions and pins for what matters. Pinned files have their own tab.
Bold, italic, spoilers, code, long Articles with headings and checklists, replies and reactions.
Voice messages, a place on the map when you choose to send it, as many pinned messages as you need.
Media, Transfers, Files, Links and Music from every chat in one library, AllMedia in Settings; a song keeps playing while you move around.
What came in arrives gathered, chat by chat. Mute, archive, mark as unread, peek without reading, lock with a code.
Mac and Windows apps, any browser, and the phone from the home screen, with notifications and the unread count even when RoarMe is closed. One account, everything in step.
The whole app in either language, switched in Settings. Your messages and names are never touched.
Delete a message only for you, or ask the other person to delete it for everyone; they accept or decline.
Give someone your own name, photo and note for them. Only you see it.
Away for a while? RoarMe can email you about unread messages, at most every three hours, never for muted chats.
Every account has a RoarMe chat for ideas and questions, and the app checks for updates from Settings.
04 · Privacy
We keep what a chat needs to work, and nothing to sell. No ads, no tracking, no phone book.
Encrypted Chat: only the devices in the chat can read it.
We never ask for it, so nobody finds you by it.
Who may add you, call you and see you online, set in Settings.
Transfers delete themselves after 3 days; chats can clear themselves too.
Delete your account and what is yours goes with it.
A message you delete, and its files, leave our servers within minutes.

Free, and in beta: it works every day and gets better every week. Make an account once and use it everywhere.
It updates itself. From 1.4.9 the Mac and Windows apps fetch new versions on their own and ask for a quick restart.
First time on a Mac? If it says it cannot check the app, open System Settings › Privacy & Security and press Open Anyway. On Windows: More info › Run anyway.

Yes. No subscription, no ads.
No. An email and a username are enough. People find you by your @name, or by the link and QR code you share.
Up to 50 MB straight in the chat, kept as long as the chat. Up to 3 GB with RoarTransfer, kept 3 days, with a link anyone can download from.
Tap Tasks in the bar at the foot. Give a task to yourself or to anyone you share a chat with; for someone else it arrives as a request they accept or decline, then you both see its progress. Reminders and a calendar of the month live there too. Tasks never appear inside a conversation.
An ordino is the day's call sheet: call time, location, programme. Roardino makes them, and the camera button beside the clip opens it inside RoarMe, signed in with your RoarMe account. Send it and the crew gets a card that opens on any phone.
In the browser and on the phone you always have the newest. The Mac and Windows apps from 1.4.9 download new versions themselves and ask for a quick restart; older ones show a card with a download.
In a secret chat, yes. Turn on Encrypted Chat in any chat or group and every message from then on is locked on your device; only the devices in that chat can read it.
