ROARMAILbeta

Every mailbox in one inbox, at keyboard speed, and no server of ours between you and your mail. Trackers blocked, links checked, and undo for everything.

Free · Mac and Windows · updates itself · all downloads

01 · Only here

Three things only RoarMail does.

Why your mail feels lighter here, and safer.

01

All your mail, one inbox.

Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo, Outlook or your own domain, side by side in All Inboxes, each with its own colour. Type your address and the server settings are found by themselves, even for a company domain on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.

02

Private by design.

RoarMail talks to your mail servers straight from your computer: no server of ours sees your mail. Images stay hidden until you say so, tracking pixels are blocked even when they show, tracking tags come off links, and a link that pretends to be somewhere else gets a warning before it opens.

Undo everything.

Archive, delete, move: each waits five seconds, and Z takes it back. Sending waits too, as long as you choose, up to 30 seconds, and Undo brings the message back as a draft. Mistakes stop being final.

02 · New

Mail on your time.

Put mail away until you need it, send it when they will read it, and hand it to the crew in RoarMe.

Snooze · Send later

Not now. Later.

Snooze a message with B and it leaves the inbox until the time you pick, then comes back unread with a notification. Write now and send later, the same way. Want an answer? Ask RoarMail to remind you if nobody replies in 1, 2, 3 or 7 days.

From the inbox to the crew.

Sign in with your RoarMe account, if you like. Send an email into a chat or a group, with its attachments, or make it a task with a date and a link back to the email. Your RoarMe tasks and upcoming calls sit beside your mail.

Big files 0.8

3 GB, as a link.

Most mail servers refuse more than 20 to 25 MB. Signed in to RoarMe, a bigger file goes up as a RoarTransfer link instead, up to 3 GB, kept for 3 days, and the email carries a card with its name, size and expiry.

The look

RoarMe's look, your colours.

The Simba and Pumba themes, dark, light or as the system, ten accent colours, reading size, spacing and corners, glass or solid panels, colour lines and counters per account, with a live preview. The same family as RoarMe.

Find it 0.10

The mail you want, nothing else.

One tap above the list shows only unread, starred, with attachments or today's mail, newest or oldest first. Search ignores Greek accents too, so «γυρισμα» finds «Γύρισμα», and it can look on your servers for old mail that never came down.

Set up like a pro's mail.

Settings in the manner of Apple Mail and Airmail: how often to check, a new-mail sound of your choice, which mail may notify you, more addresses to send from on each account, and separate fonts for the list and for reading, from any font on your computer.

03 · Everything

And all mail should do.

The rest of RoarMail, briefly.

01Conversations

Replies gather into one conversation, your own included. The newest and the unread open; the rest fold to one line.

02Search as you type

Subject, sender and text, across every account, instantly. It ignores accents, so «καλημερα» finds «καλημέρα»; include Junk and Trash, or the servers, when you need to.

03Mail the moment it lands

New mail arrives at once, not every few minutes, and the connection comes back by itself after sleep.

04One key for each thing

C to write, R to reply, E to archive, B to snooze, J and K to move, / to search. All on one page in Settings.

05Swipes and quick buttons

Swipe a message left or right on the trackpad, each side doing what you choose. Hover a row for read, star, snooze, archive and delete.

06Many at once

⌘-click, Shift-click or ⌘A, then archive, delete, move, snooze, star or mark them read together.

07Write it properly

Reply, reply all and forward, Cc and Bcc, recipients suggested as you type, the system spellchecker, and several signatures per account.

08Nothing gets lost

Drafts save themselves every few seconds. A message that fails to send waits in the Outbox with Retry and Edit.

09Less of what you don't want

Unsubscribe in one tap where the list allows it. Block a sender and their new mail goes straight to the Trash.

10Always on time

RoarMail can open with the computer and wait in the Dock, the menu bar or both, so snoozes, scheduled sends and reminders happen on time. You choose which count the icon shows.

11Reads without a connection

Mail is kept on your computer, so you can read on a plane. What you do offline is sent when you are back.

12Your default mail app

Make RoarMail the default in Settings and email links open a new message in it. The app speaks Greek or English, as your system or as you choose.

04 · Privacy

Just you and your server.

We built RoarMail to protect you from the mail itself: from people who track when you open it, and from mail that is not what it says.

No server in between

Your computer talks to your mail servers directly. What RoarMail keeps stays on your computer.

Passwords in the keychain

Locked by your computer's own key store, Keychain on Mac and DPAPI on Windows, and never sent to us.

Nobody sees when you read

Images are hidden until you allow them, per message or per sender. Tracking pixels stay blocked either way.

Links you can trust

Hover a link to see where it really goes. Tracking tags are removed, and look-alike addresses get a warning.

Fake senders caught

A warning when a message fails its sender checks, when the name hides another address, or when replies would go elsewhere.

Locked with Touch ID

On a Mac, lock RoarMail at start, after sleep or when idle; notifications hide what they say while it is locked.

Privacy mode

One switch, and images from the web never load in any message, trackers stay blocked and links come clean.

05 · Download

Get RoarMail.

Free, and in beta: an experiment of The Mad Lions Lab, our own mail every day.

Mac

For Macs with Apple chips (M1 and newer). Download Older Mac with Intel? This one

Windows

Windows 10 and 11. Download

It updates itself. RoarMail fetches new versions on its own and asks for a quick restart; if you quit first, it installs on the way out.

First time on a Mac? The app is not signed by Apple yet: right-click RoarMail in Applications and choose Open, or press Open Anyway in System Settings › Privacy & Security. On Windows: More info › Run anyway.

06 · Questions

Good to know.

Is RoarMail free?

Yes. No subscription, no ads.

Which accounts can I add?

Any account with IMAP and SMTP: Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo, Outlook, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or your own domain. Gmail, iCloud and Yahoo ask for an app password, and RoarMail tells you where to make one. Sign-in with a Microsoft account is coming.

Does my mail go through your servers?

No. RoarMail connects from your computer straight to your mail servers. Your password stays in your computer's keychain.

Do I need RoarMe?

No. RoarMail works on its own. Sign in with RoarMe only if you want to send emails into chats, make them tasks, see your tasks and calls, or send big files as a link. Your mail passwords never go to RoarMe.

How big can an attachment be?

As big as your mail server accepts; many refuse more than 20 to 25 MB. Signed in to RoarMe, a file up to 3 GB goes as a RoarTransfer link instead, kept for 3 days.

Does search find old mail?

Search looks through the mail kept on your computer, which makes it instant; the first time, RoarMail brings the last 90 days of each folder. For older mail, turn on Search the servers too in Settings.

Is there a phone version?

Not yet: RoarMail is for Mac and Windows. Snoozed, archived and moved mail moves on your server too, so the mail app on your phone sees the same inbox.
